3 Full:  PR   4:38:10

Did a 50th b-day run/ride.  Ran 22 miles, then rode 28 miles.  Took me 7 hours but I conquered 50 miles in honor of that milestone birthday.

Short-Term Running Goals:

April 12, 2014  St. Charles 10 miler

May 4, 2014   Flying Pirate 5K & Half Marathon (doing both)  

September 12-13, 2014  Ragnar Run (200 mile relay)

October, 2014  Woodrow Wilson Bridge Half Marathon

 

 

Long-Term Running Goals:

stay healthy...stay strong...stay happy!

Race at least 3 times a year  (1 full marathon / 2 half marathons) 

Personal:

Married for 30 years.  2 kids (28 & 20).  One beautiful grandson!

Ran 3 miles in my daughters neighborhood. I stayed at her place last night to cut my commute by 45 minutes. Nice to wake up and run in a new place. Kinda like being on vacation ... kinda.

super duper hot outside. Ran in the shade but still overheated. Cut my 10 miles short.

Didn't do all these miles at once.  Just catching up on blogging since I dropped off the face of the Earth for a while. 

Did 14 on the treadmill over 3 days, did 2 in the hood, and 6 on the railtrail.  

My 6 on the rail trail I did yesterday morning.  I got up at the crack of dawn to beat the heat.  I got on the trail at 6am and  finishined shortly after 7am.  The sun was just peeking over the trees so that was my signal to get back home to the a/c.   

Spent the rest of the day at my grandson's 2nd b-day party.  Great day.  One more week of clinic I'm working in and I should be able to get back to my routine.

3 miles on the treadmill at the gym. Seems a little easier to run in the evening. Trying to get back on my training schedule. gotta get ready for Woodrow Wilson Bridge 1/2 marathon coming up.

Had the best intentions but not the time or energy to work out this week. Finally finished my internship yesterday so hopefully I can get back on a schedule.  Ran 6 today on the rail trail.  It was a nice cool morning.  Got out about 7am.  Saw a deer (doe).  She was eating grass next to the trail (only about 10 feet off).  She looked at me while I passed but didn't run off.   I hope she's not that brave during hunting season.

My AP was 10:35.  Came home and met my daughter and helped her paint her office.  Then came home and cut the grass.  Finally got to put my feet ... felt good!

Finally got my hubby back last night after 8 days of training.  He fell asleep during the Nascar race so I snuck out to the gym without waking him.  Ran 3 miles did some stretching and ab work.  Got home and in the shower before he woke up.  Wanted to get my run in before tomorrow because I have to get up extra early to take my grandson to PT in Baltimore in the morning.

Went spinning this morning then walked 2 hours this evening after dinner.  Love this weather!

Ran at the gym on the treadmill.  Warmed up for a mile then ran one mile @ 8:49.  Recovered for a half mile then ran another 1/2 mile at 8:49.  Recovered for another half mile then ran .25 mile @ 8:49.  Ran the rest out easy to make 4 miles.
