Ran on the treadmill at the gym. Had a had time getting into the tempo run part. I was having a mental battle. Then I thought of all the people in my life who are strong and push through being uncomfortable or in pain. My grandson who has had multiple surgeries and health problems in his first 2 years of life and my mother who just had her 2nd major stroke in June. If they can recover and fight to get well I can run a simple tempo run, as uncomfortable as it may be, it is nothing compared to what they endured. 1/2 mile warm-up, 4 mile tempo @ 9:21, 3/4 mile cool-down. |
