Took an evening run around the hood. 10m pace. Not too bad running at sunset. I'm gonna try adding a new routine to TV time in the evenings...50 sit-ups, 10 push-ups, 1 minute plank, and bicycle crunches. Wish me luck!
Did a 4 mile easy run in the hood. At about 1/2 mile a little heel nipping dog came after me. I turned around, pointed at him and said, "DONT YOU CHASE ME!". We faced off and he backed off as I reached for my mace. I walked backwards away from him and he just stood there barking at me. Once I got out of sight I started running again. Got my adrenaline going for sure. I'm glad I didn't have to use my mace and I'm glad I had it with me. This is when it's nice to have a Garmin because I changed my running course so I would not be passing that little heel nipping fellow again.
Ran 10 on the rail trial. It was a beautiful morning. Forgot my Garmin but I wasn't too concerned because the rail trail is marked every mile.
For some reason there are grasshoppers that have been sitting on the trail and they don't fly off until just before you step on them. Sometimes they fly off to the left or right but sometimes they fly right into me. Freaks me out. One time my head phone cord brushed my cheek and I thought it was a grasshopper. I ripped my headphone out of my left ear and frantically brushed off my face. I felt silly when I realized it was nothing. I guess grasshoppers are better then heal nipping dogs :)
