Did a 4 mile easy run in the hood.  At about 1/2 mile a little heel nipping dog came after me.  I turned around, pointed at him and said, "DONT YOU CHASE ME!".  We faced off and he backed off as I reached for my mace.  I walked backwards away from him and he just stood there barking at me.  Once I got out of sight I started running again.  Got my adrenaline going for sure.   I'm glad I didn't have to use my mace and I'm glad I had it with me.  This is when it's nice to have a Garmin because I changed my running course so I would not be passing that little heel nipping fellow again.

Dogs can be so pesky, sometimes they scare me so much that I go on a detour to avoid them. Have you ever had to use your mace on one?

Haven't had to mace one yet. I did kick one in it's snout one day when I didn't have my mace. He backed off after that luckily.

Glad you didn't have to mace or kick a field goal with that little bugger. Nice profile pic. I got myself a pair of those horns a couple days ago. Fun race!

I had to use pepper spray on a BIG aggressive dog while cycling. Stopped him in his tracks and be quickly retreated. I was feeling pretty smug, then my eye was watering, I reached up and wiped it, realized the spray got all over my hand. Didn't feel quite so smug.
