Ran 10 miles on the rail trail. Nice cloudy morning. I-pod was dead so just me and my thoughts (mostly prayers). Found a technique that helped me when I wanted to stop. I would visualize myself just running 50 feet ahead. When I reached that point, I would visualize the next 50 feet. Really helped me get through the last 2 miles. I kept telling myself that I came out here to conquer 10 miles ... not BE conquered.
