Did my own turkey trot on the rail trail.  It was very cold (20's) this morning.  The good news is the sun was shining and it warmed to the high 20's by the time I got out there.  I managed to overdress somehow.  My bottoms were great ... too much stuff on top; t-shirt, short sleeve race shirt, long sleeve race shirt, jacket, hat, and gloves (glad I left my scarf in the car).  After 1/2 mile I was ready to come out of one layer, took off my hat, and my gloves.  Good practice for dressing for my upcoming 5oth b-day run.

Thanksgiving was a bitter cold day! My favorite Turkey Trot was the Mt. Vernon parkway run we did with the leaves falling into our hands.

What are the b-day plans?

I'm watching the weather for Dec 27th or 28th. Possible for those days. I haven't advertised the run because I'm not sure how its gonna go. I feel less pressure if I keep it between us.

I'm planning on running from my house to my brothers (about 20-22 miles), then biking home again the long way (28-30) miles.

Then eating / sleeping / eating again :)

Hows your hip doing?

I'm getting in a few miles here & there. The weather seems to have me in a funk- always dark, usually cold, and too many gloomy days. I need to move to somewhere sunny! Hope I'll be ready for a run at the end of the month.
