Got out of jury duty a little early today so I decided to do an afternoon run. I got out to the rail trail at around 3:30. I planned on doing 10 miles until I started running. The first mile was extremely difficult. I felt like I was running in mud. I decided I would run until my water was halfway gone then I would turn around and head back. I told myself not to worry about the time, just do what I can do. At about mile 3.5 I wanted to quit. I forced myself to continue and decided to pick up the pace so I could get to mile 4 faster so I could turn around and head back. Once I picked up my pace I felt better. I turned around but kept my pace up. I didn't get my 10 miles in but I was happy to have 2 miles under 9 minutes:) p.s. Tomorrow is closing arguments in the trial. Should be my last day. Splits: 10:15, 9:54, 9:46, 9:51, 8:42, 9:52, 9:21, 8:55. |
