Got out a little later than I like but the heat was bearable at first.  Ran on the rail trail.  Lots of people out on bikes, roller blades, or walking.  Only saw one other runner.

AP:  9:35  Splits;  9:41, 9:34, 9:25, 9:44, 9:42, (last .17 8:40).

After running, I figured since I was already so hot and sweaty that I'd go take my kayak out to work my arms and abs (believe it or not you use your abs when getting a good speed).  I had to stop for gas on the way and took my stinky self inside the quick shop to get a muscle milk to hold me out.  I was a little embarrassed but not too embarrassed to go in.  I felt some eyes on me like they were thinking "wow... she is a smelly mess... wonder what she has been up to".

Got to the river and was happy to see the tide was up and there were no spiders in my kayak.  Grabbed my pocket fisherman (recent mother's day present) and hopped in.  The water was calm with a nice breeze.  I went across the river to a favorite fishing spot of mine just to see if anything was biting.  I ripped across the water as fast as I could until my arms ached.  I got to the other side and casted a few times but no bites.   Moved to another spot... no bites.  Moved to another spot... no bites.  Oh well, the fish weren't biting today but I was enjoying every minute.  After about 30 minutes of playing fish chaser, I decided to head back to shore.   I dug in and paddled as hard and fast as I could.  The front of my kayak sliced through the water and left a wake behind me.  I was flying and loving every second.  Finally, I reached the other side and slid on shore.  I has such momentum that the boat went halfway up into the grass so I didn't even get my feet wet.

I am feeling a little bit of my abs and a lot of my shoulders and arms.  Thinking about going out again tomorrow after church.

Nice run and ride, Kayak Speed Racer. I'm sure the water was beautiful.

A nice ride after church sounds wonderful.
