Did a 50th b-day run/ride. Ran 22 miles, then rode 28 miles. Took me 7 hours but I conquered 50 miles in honor of that milestone birthday. Short-Term Running Goals: April 12, 2014 St. Charles 10 miler

| | Tried to keep a steady pace but it just wasn't working for me today. Decided to do some speed work. Sprint then recover...sprint then recover. I like my sprinting pace (7:45-8:15), makes me feel speedy :P |

| | spinning this morning. Haven't been in a while. It was nice seeing the old regulars and the crazy instructor. Great sweat before work. Met a friend for step class this evening at the gym. Forgot how fun step can be. Most of the steps came back to me but I still got lost a few times. Glad I was forced into abs at the end of the workout. |

| | Started out later than I wanted, was already pretty warm (around 80). Ran 3 miles to a park where I could loop through trails through the woods that are shaded. I also like the park because I can fill up on water or take a potty break if needed. Saw one of my students' father. He was saving a pavilion for a birthday party to be held later today. If I knew him better, I would have asked for one those huge chocolate chips cookies he had on a tray:) Running back to my car from the park was difficult. I was really hot and had no shade for 2.5 miles. A couple of times there was shade created by a cloud ahead of me, but each time I tried to catch it, I was too slow. When I got home, I kept up the sweat by doing yard work. Finally got in the shower around 6:00. Nice to have my feet up now. Going to my daughter's for a cook out tomorrow... yummy! |
